About Us

Vital Care of Central Mississippi is an independently owned and operated pharmacy dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to our patients. While Vital Care of Central Mississippi is independently owned and operated, it operates as a franchise of Vital Care Home Infusion Services. Vital Care, Inc. was founded in 1986 by community pharmacists and now serves a nationwide network of franchises from its corporate headquarters in Meridian, MS.

Vital Care utilizes a network of experts in the home infusion field to make sure that each patient and each therapy is receiving the highest quality of care. We understand the comfort and desire of being in one’s home, and we strive to make the transition to the home as seamless and comfortable as possible.

We understand the advantages of home infusion over hospitalization, and we strive to make the transition to healthcare in the home as seamless as possible. Working hand-in-hand with case managers, doctors, and home health agencies, we ensure that each phase of the process is addressed. Additionally, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays, for any infusion needs.

Wade Phillips, PharmD Owner

A native of Brownsville, Tennessee, Wade received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Mississippi State University.  From there, he went on to attend Pharmacy School at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, graduating with his Doctor of Pharmacy.  Wade has extensive experience in the home infusion setting as well as the retail/community pharmacy setting. Wade currently serves as the Pharmacist-in-Charge of, Vital Care of Central MS, where he is responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations and staff.

Wade is married to Laura Beth, and they have two daughters, Grey and Livi.  Residents of Madison, Wade and his family are active members at Broadmoor Baptist Church and in the community.

John grew up in Madison, Mississippi and attended Madison Central High School and then furthered his education at the University of Mississippi where he received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting. John is a certified public accountant and has extensive experience in accounting and finance. John currently serves as the General Manager for Vital Care of Central MS and oversees the business operations of the pharmacy.

John is married to Meredith, and they have three children, Lyla Grayce, Finn and Beck. Residents of Madison, John and his family are active members at Broadmoor Baptist Church and in the community.

Drew grew up in Madison, Mississippi and attended Madison Central High School and then furthered his education at Mississippi State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Mortgage Financing and Masters of Business Administration. Drew currently is a loan officer for First Financial Bank based locally in Madison, MS. He is responsible for making small business loans in the healthcare industry, specifically independent pharmacy loans all over the United States. Drew uses his extensive knowledge in pharmacy to drive business development and strategic initiatives for Vital Care of Central MS.

Drew is married to Morgan, and they have two children, Baleigh and Sam. Residents of Madison, Drew and his family are active members at Broadmoor Baptist Church and in the community.

A native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Amy received her Doctorate of Pharmacy at the University of Mississippi. Amy then worked at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as a clinical pharmacist and associate professor for the School of Pharmacy. Amy possesses considerable work experience in several multidisciplinary settings including pediatric inpatient pharmacy, neonatal intensive care, women’s health, pharmacokinetics, and total parenteral nutrition management. Amy is truly passionate about caring for patients with home infusion therapy needs.

Amy is married to her husband, Scott, and they have three children, Connor, Caitlyn, and Collier. Residents of Madison, Amy and her family are active members at St. Matthews United Methodist Church and in the community.

Stephen Speights, PharmD Pharmacist

A native of Brandon MS, Stephen received both his bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Mississippi. Stephen has several years of experience in the retail community pharmacy setting, and is a recent addition to our pharmacy staff. He currently serves as a staff pharmacist with our home infusion pharmacy Vital Care of Central MS. His responsibilities in his current role include overseeing the ordering, compounding, and delivery of medications each day and serving as a resource for both patients and local providers.

Stephen and his wife Maegan are currently residents of Flowood and are active members of First Ridgeland Baptist Church and in their community.

A native of Birmingham, AL, Rachelle attended John Carroll Catholic High School then attended Auburn University for two years where she completed her nursing prerequisites. She then transferred to the University of Birmingham at Alabama where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Rachelle’s diverse experience includes working in oncology, outpatient infusion, orthopedics, and medical-surgical floors where she worked as both a staff nurse and nurse educator. Rachelle is truly passionate about her patients and enjoys the home infusion side of nursing.

In her spare time, Rachelle enjoys spending time with her husband Nicky and her two daughters, Emma Kate and Laney. Residents of Madison, Rachelle and her family are active at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and in the community.

Jodie Brown BSN, RN / Clinical Liaison

A native of Macon, MS, Jodie attended Winston Academy then attended Mississippi State University where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. She then went to Hinds Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Nursing. Jodie’s diverse experience includes working in cardiology, oncology, hematology, and outpatient infusion where she worked as a staff nurse, physician’s nurse and clinic supervisor.

In her spare time, Jodie enjoys spending time with her husband Bob and her two children, Abigail and Dalton. Residents of Madison, Jodie and her family are active at First Ridgeland Baptist Church and in the community.

Brandie Boone, BSN, RN Clinical Liaison

A Native of Grand Junction, Colorado, Brandie received her Associates degree in Nursing from Hinds Community College, Raymond, Mississippi. Brandie went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, Chicago Il. Brandie has extensive nursing experience including Cardiac intensive care, surgical intensive unit, medical surgical, home health, and PICC (Peripheral Inserted Central Catheter) placement. Brandie loves her job and helping her patients!

Brandie is married to Steven, and they have two children, Caraline Elizabeth and Steven John. Residents of Clinton, Brandie and her family are avid scuba divers and love to travel. Brandie and her family are active members of the community and attend the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Clinton.

Demetra grew up in Jayess, MS and graduated from Tylertown High School. Demetra has over 16 years of technician experience in the home infusion, retail and hospital setting. Demetra’s passion is in the home infusion setting, and her primary responsibility with Vital Care is mixing the medications to be dispensed to the patients. She works with the pharmacists to ensure the doctors orders are being fulfilled and mixed as they are prescribed. Demetra then coordinates with the delivery team to make sure the correct medications are delivered to the correct patient.

Demetra lives in Jackson, and in her free time enjoys helping with her families catering business and spending time with family.

John Duell, CPhT Pharmacy Technician

John grew up in Bentonia, MS and graduated from Yazoo County High School. John started with the company as a full-time delivery driver, and now serves as a pharmacy technician and handles local deliveries. His duties include packing pharmacy supplies for patients, mixing medications for patients and making local deliveries to patients. John works with the pharmacists and delivery team to ensure the patients are receiving the supplies and medications needed for the prescribed therapy.

John currently lives in Bentonia, MS is married to Shelby, and are both active in their community.

LaVaughn Robinson Delivery Driver

LaVaughn grew up in Pearl, MS and graduated from Pearl High School. LaVaughn has spent the bulk of his career in the manufacturing industry, and brings a wide array of logistics and supply chain management skills to Vital Care. LaVaughn is primarily responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications to patients in their home. He works hand in hand with he Pharmacists and Technicians to make sure the medications are delivered timely and accurately to the patient.

LaVaughn lives in Pearl, MS and is very active in his church, XXX, and enjoys signing in the choir. LaVaughn is also an avid Peal Pirates fan.
